A Page for People Who Want Us to Buy or Identify a Meteorite

Here are some basics:

• We will help you identify a meteorite. (Click here)
• We do buy meteorites and meteorite collections.
• Don't bother contacting us anonymously. What would you think if someone approached you and wanted to sell you an expensive item sight-unseen and would not even use his name? It happens to us frequently.
• We don't buy meteorites that are not named or classified, but we will help you get this done if you have a real meteorite that hasn't been named or classified.

Here is how you should proceed:

• If you have meteorites of known origin, e.g., purchased from a reputable dealer, and you want to sell them, then write us at meteoritemarket@gmail.com.
• If you think you might have found a meteorite, (this includes everyone who found a rock in their garden, in the desert, whose great great uncle saw it fall, etc. etc.) look at our Meteorite Identification Pages and make the observations and tests described. After you have done this write us at meteoritemarket@gmail.com.
