Taza (NWA859) Plessitic Octahedrite Meteorite for Sale



Location:  Unknown--Northwest Africa. No coordinates were reported. This meteorite is reported to come from near the village of Taza, Morocco. I have my doubts about this, however.

Type: Iron, Plessitic Octahedrite, Ungrouped.

Description from Meteoritical Bulletin 86: Table 6 Note 7. Ni 15.93%, Co 1.31%, Cu 296 ppm, Ga 87 ppm, Ge 2200 ppm, As 54 ppm, W 6.8 ppm, Ir 2.54 ppm, Pt 37.7 ppm, Au 6.52 ppm.
