NWAXXXX "Mystery Rock" Chondrite Meteorites for Sale
Location: Northwest Africa, exact location unknown. Found: 2010? Type: Ordinary chondrite, appears primitive. Description: This rock is identical in every way I can tell, from thin section and hand specimen, to NWA 5717. |

Here's the deal: This meteorite is being classified now. I think there is a good chance that it is something special. There is also a chance that it won't be something special or there could even be mistakes in classifcation of the stone that I would compared it to. (This classifcation is controversial in the scientific community.) Classification can take a long time and entry into the Meteoritical Bulletin is sometimes uncertain for reasons that I do not know.
So, it is my hope that once this meteorite is classified, I will be able to offer it for a higher price than it is offered here. If the classifcation is something more ordinary, then I will offer it for less. If you buy it now, then I will send the classifcation information when I get it. If the classifcation is such that I will need to lower the price, then I will send you a refund for the difference between what you paid and the new price. If the meteorite is something special, then you have a good deal.
