NWA 7183 Polymict Diogenite Meteorites for Sale

Classification: Polymict diogenite
Description: Very fresh fragmental breccia consisting predominantly of angular diogenitic orthopyroxene grains (up to 2 mm across) plus <10 vol.% basaltic eucrite clasts and one finer-grained fragmental breccia clast. Orthopyroxene (Fs17.1Wo1.1; Fs26.8Wo2.6; FeO/MnO = 27-30) , exsolved pigeonite (orthopyroxene host Fs49.7±0.0 Wo1.8-4.0, FeO/MnO = 32-33; clinopyroxene lamellae Fs25.5-28.7Wo39.6-38.5, FeO/MnO = 27), calcic plagioclase, chromite, ilmenite and troilite. Comment: This meteorite appears to be very similar to NWA1648 and its pairs.
